Frank Cole

January 20, 1931 - December 18, 2013

Mr. Frank A. Cole, age 82, and a resident of Preacher Holt Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at his residence.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 23rd at 11am in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Russ Adcox and Clint Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, December 22nd from 5-7pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and assisting the family.

Frank was born in Franklin County, Tennessee in 1931, and was the son of the late Arthur and Arie Mann Cole. He opened Frank Cole Insurance Company over 50 years ago and operated it for many years, with it still being open and ran today by his special friend and business partner, Sharon Cole. He was an active member of Maury Hills Church of Christ. Frank loved all kinds of sports, including hunting, fishing, and golfing. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV, with some of his favorites being basketball, football, golf, and boxing. As his family stated, “He was an avid sportsman!” His much loved sportsman was Peyton Manning. When he wasn’t watching sports, you could find him socializing with all his buddies at Bucky’s Restaurant. Above all though, Frank was a devoted family man, loving his kids, grandkids, and a great grandchild. He was loved by many, missed by all.

He is survived by his son: Steve (Ginger Morrow) Cole of Hampshire; daughter: Tammy (David) Bennett of Hampshire; brother: Tom Cole of Georgia; sister: Virginia Benson of Georgia; grandchildren: Wil Morrow, Sarah Grace Cole, Emma Lee Cole, Vallie (Paul) Vanoven; great grandchild: Thomas Vanoven; and a special friend, Betty Mears.

Along with his parents and wife, Sarah Elizabeth Cole, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Bain and Mary Elizabeth Cole.

Pallbearers will be Steve Carroll, Eric Hurley, Murray Devore, Wil Morrow, Larry Cole, David Graham, David Fly, Larry Johns, and Johnny Johns. Honorary pallbearers will be all his friends at Bucky’s, his church friends from Maury Hills Church of Christ, and the employees at Caledonian Financial.
