Margarette Courtney

Margarette E. Courtney, age 93, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013. Margarette was born June 28, 1920, in Bradford, AR to parents Fate and Hester Massey.

Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Margarette accepted Jesus as her personal savior at an early age. She was of Baptist faith and was very active in her church.

Margarette's father and mother, son Jimmy, two brothers, Eldon and Dean Massey, as well as three husbands preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Jerry (Connie) Shrieves of Columbia, TN; and Michael (Terri) Shrieves of Dunn, NC, Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
