Jean McCune Porter

July 10, 1931 - December 21, 2013

Jean McCune Porter, age 82, a resident of Franklin, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Williamson Medical Center.

Jean was born on July 10, 1931, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Mac and Kay McCune. She was raised in Kittanning, PA and graduated from the high school there in 1948.

Jean studied drama after high school and had a life-long passion for theatre, jazz, art, fashion and travel. She also loved decorating, cooking and entertaining.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 58 years, Bob Porter; their children, Biff Porter, and Kay Ervin; daughter-in-law, Marcy Porter; son-in-law, Bob Ervin; and grandchildren, Rob and Kate Porter.

A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Franklin at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2014. Family will receive friends following the service.
