Mrs. Faye Hartley Barnes, age 61, a resident of Lyles, TN, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at her residence after a short battle with cancer.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Kevin Gurley officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery in Williamson County with Rick Points officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, May 1st from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, May 2nd from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia. Heritage Funeral Home of Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Barnes has lived in Lyles a number of years, but was originally from Williamson County. She was born on May 6, 1953 and was the daughter of the late James and Annie Mae Johnson Hartley. Mrs. Barnes was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by her husband: Leonard A. Barnes of Lyles; mother: Annie M. Hartley of Lyles; sons: Keith (Tracy) Anglin of White House, TN, Travis (Tijuana) Anglin of Sylvania, AL, Brad (LeAnn) Fly of Primm Springs; daughter: Renee “Na” Anglin Fly of Lyles, TN; two foster children: Jeremiah Johnson of Birmingham, AL, Amanda Ashworth Froli of Lewisburg; seven grandchildren: Desi Stalvey, Taylor Anglin, Akita Anglin, Leah Sullivan, Cole Sullivan, Davey Anglin, Dylan Wilson; great-grandchild: Brantley Wilson; brothers: Jimmy (Jackie) Hartley of Sylvania, AL, Donald Hartley of Lyles; sisters: Sherry (Chad) Hartley of Chapel Hill, Kaye (Thomas) Rainey of Bon Aqua, Cathy (Gene) Hartley of Hurricane Mills, TN; a very special person in Fay’s life: Boyd Fly of Burwood; a dear friend: Ellen Hartley of Lyles; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She also had two favored dogs, Spanky and Benjie.

Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her husband William “Doc” Fly; father: James Hartley; brothers: William “Shorty” Hartley, Terry “Scooter” Hartley, James L. Hartley; nephew: Shane Hartley; grandparents: Martin Johnson and Anna Bell House Johnson, Laban Hartley and Evie Henson Hartley.
