Karen Nugent Hardin

September 5, 1940 - January 25, 2015

Karen Nugent Hardin, age 74, a resident of Franklin, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at her residence.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church with Rev. Will Berger officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on September 5, 1940 in New York, NY, Karen was the daughter of the late Renwick and Gladys Lehmann Nugent. She earned her Associates Degree in Accounting at Nashville Technical Community College, and she often enjoyed doing arts and crafts.

She is survived by her son: Brian Hardin; daughters: Debra (Kevin) Hardin, Michelle (Danny) Funderburk; brother: Edward Nugent; sister: Roberta Newcomb; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hardin; and brother, Duane Hardin.
