Cory Nicolas Hood

November 8, 1985 - July 22, 2018

Cory Hood, age 32, a resident of Chapel Hill, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Cory was born November 8, 1985 in Nashville and was the son of Debby Hood and his step dad, Gary Cox “Big Dad”.  He graduated from the Tennessee School for the Blind.  The best gift ever given was his parents, Debbie and Gary Cox.  Accepted in to heaven with open arms by his earthly angel, Janice Carson.  Blessed to have been comforted by his best friend, Teddy.

Thanks to all those at the School for the Blind for their love and care and to those who offered support in his final days including his nurses Amber, Amanda, and Beth.  A special thanks to his loving Aunt Nez.  Due to his fragile health condition he never got to swim in the warm waters of Cancun as he had been promised, but he will now, free from all pain.
