Patricia Faye Pruitt Hood

May 25, 1942 - June 29, 2018

Patricia Faye Pruitt Hood, age 76, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away early Friday morning, June 29, 2018 at NHC Columbia.

A graveside service will be held on Monday at 10AM at Polk Memorial Gardens with Thomas Culberson officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on May 25, 1942 in Hickman County, Pat was the daughter of the late Roy Pruitt and the late Lennie Pruett Pruitt. She was a graduate of Spring Hill High School and retired from Weather Tamer where she worked as a seamstress and was later promoted to management. Pat was a member of the Jaycetts in Columbia for many years where she also served as the President. She loved crocheting, knitting, and macramé. She also enjoyed reading.

She is survived by her son: Troy (Rhonda) Hood of Columbia; sisters: Linda Kay Bee of Mt. Pleasant, Betty Jane Smith of Columbia; grandchildren: Shelby Hood of Lynnville, Kristen Hood of Lynnville; special nephews: Todd Fitzgerald, Stephen Hood; the father of her children: Billy Hood; beloved dog: Chloe; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons: Theron Hood and Trenton Hood.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include: the staff at NHC Columbia.
