Mr. Leo W. “Bill” King, age 79, a resident of Spring Hill, previously of Alameda, California, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

The family will celebrate his life with services at a later date in California. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on November 10, 1938 in Berkeley, California, Bill was the son of the late Leo Emile King and the late Erma Bess Cosman King. He was a graduate of Castlemont High School in Oakland, California where he was an active member of the Alumni Association. Bill graduated with honors in 1972 from Chabot, Hayward, CA where he majored in Accounting and was a 1981 graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington-Seattle. He was the past president of the Bank Marketing Association and the Senior Executive of Alameda First National Bank. He was a long time resident and member of Harbor Pointe and Harbor Bay Isle HOA in Alameda, CA.

Bill served his country in the United States Coast Guard. He had a lifelong passion for politics supporting conservative values and was a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his daughters: Cheri King, Julie (Steve) Henderson; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Mike King; nephew, Sean King; and his life partner, Linda Nordquist.
