Born on November 11, 1943 in Elkton, Tennessee, Ginger was the daughter of the late Eugene Elias Rogers and the late Martha Ruth Abernathy Rogers. She attended Hampshire Unit School and worked as an encapsulator at Teledyne Electronic Company in Lewisburg. Ginger married James “Jimmy” Sanders on October 9, 1981 and together they enjoyed going camping. She was a member of The Pentecostal Church of Christ where she loved singing in the choir.
