Ann George Baker, age 71, resident of the Santa Fe Community, joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 surrounded by her family.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 4pm at First Family Baptist Church with Pastor Ryan Krivsky and Keith Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Lockhart Cemetery in the Santa Fe Community. The family will visit on Friday from 4-7pm at Heritage Funeral Home and again on Saturday from 3-4PM at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on October 28, 1946 in Columbia, Ann was the daughter of the late Ollie George and the late Esterline Godwin George. She graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1965. She attended First Family Baptist Church and previously worked over thirty years as a bus driver for the Maury County School System before she retired. A beloved mother and grandmother, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter: Kim (Fred) Melton of Columbia; and grandchildren: David Fredrick Melton and Noah Robert Melton, both of Columbia.
Pallbearers will be: Gordon Melton, Max Melton, Mark Melton, David Melton, Noah Melton, Mark Stooksbury, and Matthew Stooksbury.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice Compassus, Dr. Thomas Dake, and the hospice nurses.
