Mr. Tommy M. Dale, age 61, a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at St. Thomas West Hospital.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Adkisson officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Bridges Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on July 25, 1956 in Maury County, Tommy was the son of the late Wayne Jones and the late Frances Dale Jones. He loved camping, cutting wood, and working on race cars. He was always supportive of his son in racing. He cared for his children, grandchildren and his dog, Lola that he took for a ride every time he went to the store. He was a very loving and Godly man who loved his church. He was a member of Elmore Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed operating his loader and talking to his truck drivers. He was a country music fan, especially Hank Williams, Jr. A family man, Tommy loved family cookouts and family reunions. He loved picking up his grandchildren from school, and loved and cherished his niece. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by the mother of his children: Torrie Dale of Columbia; daughter: Tabitha Pope of Columbia; sons: Brandon (Sheila) Pope of Hampshire, Thomas (Megan) Dale of Culleoka, John Tosh of Hickman County; brothers: Larry (Anita) Jones of Hohenwald, Stevie (Carolyn) Jones of Columbia; niece: Angie (James) Morris of Hohenwald; nephews: Joey King, Jason King, Bodean King; and grandchildren: Kerrieann Pope, Cody Pope, Michael Pope, Anthony Pope, Leon Pope, Shelby Martin, and Bryson Martin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Brenda King; grandmother: Flossie Dale; and grandfather: G.C. Dale.

Pallbearers will be: Matthew Hill, Nicky Bates, Ernie Hill, Ricky Hill, Bobby Lee Hill, and Justin Cook.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Elmore Church of the Nazarene.
