Sharon Becker, age 70, a resident of Spring Hill and her sister Kathleen N. Cothern, age 64, a resident of Nashville, both passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 within hours of each other.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sharon and Kathleen were both born in Nashville, Tennessee and were the daughters of the late Henry Piper Cothern and the late Anna Elizabeth Newlen Cothern.
Sharon was married to Robert “Bob” Becker who preceded her in death in 2006. She enjoyed playing the piano, golfing, and working crossword and Sudoku puzzles. She and her husband previously owned two Burger King Restaurants in Chicago, Illinois. She was of the Baptist faith.
Sharon is survived by her daughter: Barbara (Mark) Digby of Hanover, PA; brothers: Dennis (Suzanne) Cothern of Columbia, Wesley Cothern of Charlotte; sister: Carolyn Harper of Hermitage; and grandchildren: Rock Digby and Cash Digby of Pennsylvania.
Kathleen graduated from Hume-Fogg High School. Kathleen enjoyed making flower arrangements and attending wrestling matches. She used to push her seat all the way back in her Volkswagen Bug so Andre the Giant could fit. She adored animals. She had a servant’s heart and was always helping others. Kathleen was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her brothers: Dennis (Suzanne) Cothern of Columbia and Wesley Cothern of Charlotte; and sister: Carolyn Harper or Hermitage. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Olivia Nicole “Nikki” Cothern.
In addition to their parents, Sharon and Kathleen were both preceded in death by their sisters: Susan Pate, Dorothy Cothern; and brothers: James Cothern, Richard Cothern, and Piper Cothern.
