Kim Pollard McCord, age 57, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 3PM at Heritage Funeral Home with John Thomas officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 1-3PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on October 3, 1960 in Columbia, Kim was the daughter of Ned Pollard and the late Faye Curtis Pollard. She was a 1979 graduate of Columbia Central High School, worked at King’s Daughters for many years, and was of the Church of Christ faith. Kim had a love in her heart for others and always put other people and their needs before her own. If she ever knew of someone who needed a meal or a place to stay, she made sure their needs were met. Most of all, Kim loved her family. She had a special way of making her children and grandchildren feel loved by planning something for each of their birthdays ahead of time. She will be deeply missed.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her sons: Curtis (Sarah) London of Columbia, Jesse (Nikki) McCord of Columbia, Shawn McCord of Lewisburg; brother: Daniel Pollard; sister: Jo Piland; and grandchildren: Haylee, Dameion, Lyda, Ava, Neeco, Zarryn, and Kaelii.
