Ila Massey

February 10, 1960 - May 21, 2018

Ila Massey, age 58, a resident of Leoma, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at her residence.

A memorial service will be held at Meadowview Baptist Church, 312 Kennedy St in Lawrenceburg, TN from 4 to 6 PM, Thursday May 31st. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 10, 1960 in Indiana Ila was the daughter of the late Bobby Massey and the late Mary Ann Barber Massey. She was of the Baptist faith, earned her Master’s Degree in Social Services, and worked as a massage therapist. She often visited different nursing homes and gave the residents free massages. Ila treasured life and love of her family and friends. She was a beautiful spiritual person and is known for her love of the ocean and beach. She will be missed by all that knew her. In her words, “Go feel better, enjoy life.”

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her brothers: Derrell (Debbie) Massey of Lawrenceburg, Mike Massey of Lawrenceburg; sisters: Cindy Massey (Dwight) Daniel of Five Points, Glynda Scott of Florence, AL; and many nieces and nephews.
