Donna Gay Lance, age 77, a resident of Clarksville, previously of Columbia, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Centennial Medical Center.

The family will celebrate her life with a private graveside service at Maury Memorial Gardens. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 20, 1940 in Indianapolis, IN, Donna was the daughter of the late Orville Carter and the late Zelma Ballard Elmore. She was of the Pentecostal faith and worked as a homemaker. She loved to fix all different kinds of things and even carried around her own tool box. Donna especially loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Candy (Joey) Heflin of Clarksville, Theresa Wallace of Jayess, MS, Tina (Ronald) Young of Clarksville, Kimberly (Kenny) Conner of Columbia, Donald (Bridget) Lance of Jackson, Brian (Amber) Lance of Hattiesburg, MS; brother: Larry Carter of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren: Candace (Jonathan) Wilson, Joseph (Alanna) Heflin, Micah (Chris) Story, Jeremy (Beth) Wallace, Landon (Crystal) Wallace, Stephen (Joy) Young, Stacey (Steven) Rubio, Wesley (June) Young, Kenny Joe Conner, Dathon (Ashley) Conner, Natalia Lance, Navaya Lance, Naylan Lance, Raylynn Lance; and fourteen great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Donald Lance; and sister: Delores Hemsoth.
