Lisa Thornton

September 24, 1962 - April 28, 2018

Lisa Thornton, age 55, resident of South Carolina, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Williamson County.

Lisa was born in Aiken, SC, but lived in Hohenwald for over 20 years. She attended First Baptist Church of Hohenwald until she moved back to SC in May of 2017. She was married to Dale Scot Thornton of North Augusta, SC.

She is survived by her husband: Dale; her mother: Margaret J. McKennon, Hohenwald TN (formerly of Jackson, SC); her daughter: Kristy Lynn McKennon and her son: David Ray Allen, both from Hohenwald, TN; grandchildren: Nathan Allen of Hohenwald, Grant Isbell, Gracie Green and Andrew Penix, all of Spring Hill, TN; her sister: Tina McKennon McCoy; her Niece Hannah McCoy Leffingwell of Hot Springs, AR. She is also survived by many close relatives in TN, SC and GA. She was a beloved wife, mother, Daughter, sister, aunt and “Nana”.

She was a very loving, kind and caring soul and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She's at peace in the arms of Jesus today.

Memorial Services will be held at First Baptist Church, 103 South Oak Street, Hohenwald, TN 38462 on Thursday, May 3rd at 4:00pm. The family will visit with friends at the church from 2pm-4pm. All are welcome.
