Leda Sorci

Leda Henson Sorci, age 52, a resident of Columbia, passed away peacefully at home with her husband Bob by her side on Wednesday, May 02, 2018.

A Catholic Mass will be held on Monday, May 7th at 10am at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church with Father Davis Chackaleckel officiating.  Burial will follow in the Garden of Resurrection at Maury Memorial Gardens, located adjacent to the funeral home.  The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 4pm-7pm at the funeral home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Leda was born in Ohio and was the daughter of the late Frank Henson and the late Betty Laycock Henson.  She is survived by her husband, Bob; sons, Bradley Biegler of OH and Christopher (Jena) Biegler of OH; daughter, Kristyn (Billy) Henson McCandless; sisters, Lisa (Tommy) Wintle, Belinda Murray, and Michele (Don) Moffatt, all of OH; grandchild, Ashlee Riggins of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed the beach and cooking outdoors.  Because of her love for animals, she liked to pet sit.  Most of all, her love was in the church.  Leda was very active as a Eucharistic Minister, served as a Lector, and was involved in the shut- in ministry for the church.
