Gaylyn Paulette Hinson, age 60, a resident of Hohenwald, passed away in Paducah, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31st at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Ray Jeter and Rick Points officiating.  Burial will follow in Downey Cemetery in Hohenwald.  The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 12 noon until the 2PM service at the funeral home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Gaylyn was a Hohenwald native and was the daughter of the late Eddie Paul Hinson and the late Sylvia Gay Barber.  She attended Lewis County High School and was of the Christian faith.  She enjoyed kayaking at the river and was always having fun.  With her contagious laugh, she was continually the life of the party.  Gaylyn was also an excellent cook and loved our compliments about her delicious food.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her Momma, Granny Gay and adored her grandchildren.  Her two cats were her constant companions.  She never met a stranger.  She truly enjoyed sitting on the porch drinking coffee and talking with friends.  She was gorgeous, inside and out and loved everyone.  Gaylyn loved to camp and especially enjoyed her time on the river with Honey and Keith.  She was a country girl and hippie at heart.

She is survived by her daughters: Crystal Blackburn and Courtney (Ray) Jeter, both of Columbia; brothers: Michael Hinson, Barry B.T. Hinson, Mike (Mia) Hinson, Jason Hinson, and Nathan Hinson, all of Hohenwald; step mother: Nettie Hinson of Hohenwald; grandchildren: Brannon Jeter, Hunter Smith, Gage Blackburn, and Andrea Jeter; nieces: Shandra Gayle Hinson, Toni Camille (Zack) McCarter, Savanna Hinson, Maci (Chuck) Dodson, and Jayden Hinson.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Cody C. Blackburn; twin daughters: Salina Diane Melton and Sabrina Gaylyn Melton; brother: Anthony Hinson; and step father: Edward Earl Barber.

Pallbearers will be Keith Wharton, Michael Pace, Sam Gray, Brannon Jeter, Hunter Smith, and Gage Blackburn.
