Mary Sue Loftin Johnson, age 80, of Columbia, Tennessee passed away on March 25, 2018 at her home on W. 17th Street.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 6PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Harvey officiating. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 4-6PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on May 18, 1937 in Columbia, Mary was the daughter of the late Clarence “Jammer” Loftin and the late Mary Frances Elliott Loftin. She worked over twenty years at Oldham’s Restaurant, many years at Nick’s Auction and Clothing Store, and several years at Alderson’s Dry Cleaners. Mary was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her three loving daughters: Deborah Adcock of Mt. Pleasant, Cherry Bullion of Columbia, Melanie Adcock of Leipers Fork; brother: Bobby Loftin; grandchildren: Angela Jeffers, Brian Crownover, Ronni Humphrey, and Robert Adcock; great grandchildren: Taylor Crownover, Erica Humphrey, Hunter Johnson, Halee Crownover, Andrew Jeffers, Addison Humphrey, Christian Crownover, Sara Jeffers, Riley Adcock, and one more on the way Sadie Adcock.
Mary was also blessed with some very special people in her life: Don & Steve Zimmerman, Chris Angus, Karen & Larry Kendric, Minor & Sunny Inouye, Paula (Messick) Harris & Family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Jerry “Tony” Johnson; and elder brother: Jim Loftin.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Charles Ball & Staff, Dr. Thomas Dake & Staff, and to the many home healthcare nurses, physical therapist, and home healthcare assistants that helped to take such good care of her.
