Mr. Roy Huff, age 79, husband of Rhonda Huff, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Unity in Maury Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8PM and again on Wednesday from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 11, 1938 in Fleming-Neon, Kentucky, Roy was the son of the late Clyde Huff and the late Grace Graham Huff. He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. He married Rhonda on November 12, 1994. Roy previously worked as a truck driver for Deek’s & Company in Nashville and also drove a school bus for Jenkins Independent School Systems in Kentucky for ten years. He loved the outdoors especially fishing and hiking and also enjoyed painting many different things including picture frames and figurines. Roy was very involved with his church and loved giving small gifts to the kids there. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife, Rhonda of 23 years, he is survived by his children: Barry Huff of South Hill, VA, Kimberly Key of Pikeville, KY, Jason (Jolene) Helton of Jenkins, KY, David (Jessica) Helton of Johnson City, TN, Jeremy Helton of Middlesboro, KY; brother: Bobby (Carolyn) Huff of Sebastian, FL; grandchildren: Brittany, Caraleigh, Elizabeth, Christian, and Ashton Helton, Matthew Adams, Kayla Redding; and great grandchildren: Atlas Perryman and Maddox and Payton Adams.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Clyde Huff, Jr., Jim Huff; and sisters: Loretta Davis, Carolyn Huff, Patricia Huff, and Betty Huff.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
