Eugene D. Ashworth

Eugene D. Ashworth, age 67, a resident of Culleoka, passed away Sunday evening, March 4, 2018 at his residence.

No services are scheduled at this time. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on November 29, 1950 in Lewis County, Eugene was the son of the late Delbert Ashworth and the late Irene Whitehead Ashworth. He worked 20 years as a diesel mechanic for Allman’s Construction in Nashville and worked many years as a truck driver. Eugene enjoyed fishing and tinkering with many different things.

He is survived by his siblings: Robert Ashworth of Columbia, Buddy (Tammy) Ashworth of Columbia, Bonni Lee (Kim) Ashworth of Hickman County, Debra Rubert of Culleoka, Margaret (Steve) Avant of Mt. Juliet, Faye (Delbert) Manley of Hickman County; long time girlfriend: Eleanor Rubert of Culleoka; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Rosemary Ashworth, Peggy Kennedy, Jimmy Ashworth and Wayne Ashworth.
