Mr. Milford Clayton Hubbell, age 88, a resident of Denise Drive in Columbia, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Larry Benderman and Randy Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow in Gibsonville Cemetery with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8PM and again on Thursday from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
A native of Maury County, Milford was born on June 14, 1929 and was the son of the late Smith Hubbell and the late Gladys Thurman Hubbell. He served his country in the United States Army and was of the Church of Christ faith. Milford worked over thirty years at Dixie Manufacturing. He loved going to yard sales and working puzzle books and also enjoyed cooking and mowing the yard.
He is survived by his daughter: Teresa (Terry) Estis of Columbia; brother: Charles (Dot) Hubbell of Culleoka; sister: Elizabeth “Sis” Hubbell of Columbia; grandson: Terry Clayton (Ashley) Estis of Columbia; great grandson: Gary Estis of Columbia; the mother of his child: Dorothy Hubbell of Columbia; special friend: Rosanna Appleton of Pulaski; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Mavice Hubbell; brothers: Thomas Hubbell, Anderson Hubbell; and sister: Pearl Burkeen.
Pallbearers will be: Terry Clayton Estis, Greg Wood, Sean Daniels, Gary Anderson, Jacob Anderson, and Jason Hubbell.
Memorial donations may be made to the family of Mr. Milford Hubbell.
