Dell Goodpasture, III

Dell Goodpasture, III, age 71, husband of Angela Goodpasture, and a resident of Chapel Hill, TN passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Cliett Goodpasture officiating. Entombment will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21st and Thursday, February 22nd from 4-8PM and again on Friday, February 23rd from 12-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on January 6, 1947 in Davidson County, Dell was the son of the late Benjamin C. Goodpasture, II and the late Nell McQuiddy Goodpasture. He was a graduate of John Overton High School in Nashville and was of the Church of Christ faith. Dell began his career at Vanderbilt University Medical Center before transferring to Opryland where he worked for thirty three years. He later went to work for St. Thomas Hospital as paint supervisor where he worked for twelve years. Dell was very meticulous about his yard work, loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and very special dogs: Daisy and Lilly, and was a devoted and avid University of Alabama football fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Benjamin Goodpasture, IV of Murfreesboro; daughters: Angela M. Goodpasture of Portland, Gin R. Windrow of Chapel Hill; sister: Sherrie Goodpasture Cox of Murfreesboro; grandchildren: Paul Messer, Chynna Messer, Reese Windrow, Cory Goodpasture, John Paul Goodpasture, Steven Goodpasture; great grandchildren: Benjamin Jase Goodpasture, Benton Cordell Goodpasture, Emma May Goodpasture, Iris Penelope Goodpasture, John Paul Goodpasture, Jr., and River Ann Goodpasture; and nephews: Shawn Goins, Shane Goins, and Jeremy Goins.

Pallbearers will be Brian Windrow, Cory Goodpasture, Steven Goodpasture, Robby Hodges, Kenny Biggs, and Paul Messer.
