Debra Lynne Rightmire Staggs, age 44, a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 1PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Head Elder Ray Barger officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens, adjacent to the funeral home. A visitation will also be held on Sunday from 12-1PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 5, 1973 in Elgin, Illinois, Debbie was the daughter of Forrest Richard Rightmire and Judith “Judy” Hill Rightmire. She was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and was of the Christian faith. Debbie enjoyed traveling and was an excellent cook and baker. She loved unicorns and had a huge collection of sunglasses. Debbie loved her family, especially her children and her cats.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sons: Patrick Kenneth Rightmire of Columbia, Michael Jared Staggs of Columbia, Lucas Kyle Dye of Columbia; brothers: Daniel Lee (Sue Bailey) Rightmire of Culleoka, Kenneth Charles (Angie Whiting) Rightmire of Nashville; sister: Shelley Rightmire of Columbia; aunt: Joice Ann (Ed) Baltes of Iuka, MS; cousin: John Anthony (Kathy) Gabriel of Dickson, Christopher Harold Gabriel of Charlotte, TN; and granddaughter on the way: Addyson Lynne Staggs.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Kenneth & Ruth Hill of Elgin, IL.

Pallbearers will be: Michael Jared Staggs, Lucas Kyle Dye, Kenneth Charles Rightmire, Nick Massey, and Richard Zuille.
