Mrs. Noreen Ann Baker, age 71, wife of Martin Baker, and a resident of Creekside Drive in Columbia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at her home.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 11AM at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father Davis Chackaleckel officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Resurrection in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8PM with the Rosary beginning at 7PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 20, 1946 in Plattsburg, New York, Noreen was the daughter of the late James R. Ryan and the late Audrey L. Goode Ryan. She was a 1964 graduate of Lyon Mountain High School in New York. She previously worked as a hairdresser and served as the shop manager in Albany, New York. Noreen married Martin Baker in October of 1967 and together they had two children. She and her husband have been dedicated members of St. Catherine Catholic Church since 1993 where she was a part of the Lazarus Committee and the Martha Ministry. Noreen also served as a member of the Newcomers Club in Columbia. She enjoyed bowling, working crossword puzzles, and bird watching.

In addition to her husband Martin, she is survived by her son: Craig R. Baker of Columbia; daughter: Nicole L. Baker of Columbia; brother: Gary R. (Jan) Ryan of Plattsburg, NY; grandchildren: Lorenzo Baker, KeAundre Nicholson; nieces: Kelly A. (Andrew) Bilo, Amy (Nicholas Chase) Ryan; and nephew: Matthew (Kate) Ryan.

Pallbearers will be: Craig Baker, Lorenzo Pollard, Larry Watts, Willie Jones, Gene McShane, and Ken Grappin.
