Vershonna Raenette Holt

January 18, 1990 - January 15, 2018

Vershonna Raenette Holt, age 27, a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A homegoing celebration will be held on Thursday at 1PM at Bellafant Tabernacle Baptist Church with Bishop Claude Bellafant officiating. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 11AM-1PM at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on January 18, 1990 in Columbia, Vershonna was the daughter of Bobby Holt and the late Sharon Hatton Boyland. She was a 2009 graduate of Columbia Central High School and a minister for six years at Bellafant Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served as a member for thirteen years. In her younger years, she and her brother along with some of their cousins were part of a singing group called The Little Angels that traveled all over Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky. Along with her mother, Vershonna was also in charge of Judah Praise youth group at Bellafant Tabernacle Baptist Church. She loved to cook, sing, and also enjoyed babysitting and keeping other people’s children. A very sociable person, Vershonna also loved talking on the phone and texting her friends and family. Above all else, she loved God and ministering his word to others.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her brothers: Almarez Holt of Columbia, Vernon Hatton of Columbia, Terry Strayhorn of Mt. Pleasant; sisters: Deberth (Ezra) Martin, Lisa Holt Johnson (Ben) Smith, Barbara Holt, Lisa Fields all of Columbia; niece: Heaven Lariya Holt; and a host of other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Arleia Zyon Netola Holt.
