Mr. Myron L. McNeese, age 66, husband of Barbara Gayle McNeese, and a resident of Hayes Drive in Columbia, passed away Monday morning, January 22, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Dewayne Crumley officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8PM and again on Wednesday from 1-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Myron was born in Maury County and was the son of the late Malcom Woodrow McNeese and the late Sarah Pullen McNeese.  He graduated from Central High School in 1969 and then went to Hohenwald Technical School. He married the love of his life Gayle on June 1, 1973.  They were members of the Cross Bridges Baptist Church.  They loved to go camping together and enjoyed watching their children and grandchildren play sports.  He worked as an electrician for Cytec Industries in Mt. Pleasant and was always working with his hands, making furniture, gardening, and working in the yard.  He knew how to fix anything. After retiring, Myron and his wife traveled broadly.  They would watch Tennessee Crossroads and get in the vehicle and travel to a lot of those places.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Along with his wife Barbara Gayle Allen McNeese, he is survived by his son: Wesley (Misty) McNeese of Columbia; daughter: Sharon (Jimmy) Love of Columbia; father in law and mother in law: Jimmie (Willie Mae) Allen of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Hayden (Alex) Love, Hunter Love, Clayton McNeese, and Caige McNeese; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Steve Cross, Wayne Pogue, Curtis McCoy, Tommy McCormick, Jason Barker, and Adam Pogue.  Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Cross Bridges Baptist Church and Myron’s co-workers of Cytec Industries.
