Mrs. Glenda Vaughan O’Neal, age 76, wife of Johnny O’Neal, and resident Goshen Road in the Santa Fe Community, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at her home.

Due to inclement weather, the funeral service has been rescheduled for Thursday at 12PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Goshen Cemetery. The visitation is rescheduled for Wednesday from 4- 7PM and again on Thursday from 11AM-12PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born January 10, 1942 in Santa Fe, Glenda was the daughter of the late Douglas Nixon Vaughan and the late Ruth Blackburn Vaughan. She was a graduate of Madison High School in Nashville and worked as a title searcher for Chicago Title and Ticor in Nashville. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Old Hickory, but had most recently attended Goshen United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included reading, listening to gospel music and watching HGTV. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, collecting antiques and loving her two cats, Catcher and Barbie.

In addition to her loving husband, Johnny of 56 years, she is survived by her son: Johnny D. (Lois) O’Neal of Columbia; brother: Brent (Barbara) Vaughan of Memphis; sister: Jeanette Smith of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren: Johnny Jr. O’Neal of Columbia, Jonathan (Courtney) O’Neal of Mt. Juliet and Madalyn (Jeff) Stinson of Lebanon; mother of Jonathan and Madalyn: Diane O’Neal of Mt. Juliet; great grandchildren: Lyla May O’Neal and Alivia Christine Stinson; brother-in-law: Frank B. O’Neal of Coopertown; aunt: Dot (George) Horne of Columbia; and nieces and nephews: Baxton and Brent Vaughan, Jr., Briana (Miguel) Flores, Samantha Page (Eric) Gudsuz.

Pallbearers will be: Baxton Vaughan, Brent Vaughan, Jr., Randy Blackburn, Barry Blackburn, Mike Roberson, Gill O’Neal, Jimmy Wayne O’Neal, Keith Baker and Miguel Flores.
