Al Smith

December 3, 1944 - January 11, 2018

Mr. Al Smith, age 73, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held on Monday at 1PM at Cedar Hills Cemetery with Bro. Mike Shelby officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday from 12-1PM at the cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family arrangements.

Born on December 3, 1944 in Maury County, Al was the son of the late Porter Smith and the late Pearle Brooks Smith. He was a graduate of Hampshire High School and a member of West 7th Street Church of Christ. Al worked for Bell South Phone Company for many years before becoming a full time self employed carpenter.

He is survived by his sister: Ruth Shelby of Hendersonville, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Charles Smith and Tommy Smith.

Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
