Micheal Ray Davis, Sr.

March 26, 1958 - January 1, 2018

Mr. Micheal “Mike” Ray Davis, Sr., age 59, a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 4-7PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on March 26, 1958 in Columbia, Mike was the son of Mary Etta Oliver Davis and the late Julius Alton “Jack” Davis. He worked as a brick mason for over thirty years and was a perfectionist at it. He was also a mechanic who enjoyed working on cars. He loved watching football, especially the Buffalo Bills. A great sense of humor, Mike was always cutting up and telling jokes to others. His favorite saying that he said numerous times many people remembered him by was, “I don’t know all about that.”

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Kim of thirty-seven years; sons: Micheal Davis, Jr. (Ashley) of Summertown, Mitchell Davis of Mt. Pleasant, Mickey Davis (Angela) of Columbia, Lucas (Lizzy) Davis of Columbia; special nieces: Melissa (Derek) Gray and Beth Gray both of Mt. Pleasant; sisters: Gloria (Tommy) Hendrix, Lou Ellen Miller, Sherry Bates, Tammy Davis, and Jennifer Wiseman all of Columbia; grandchildren: Devin, Austin, Tristan, Ashtyn, Ethan, and Layla Davis, Sierra Porter, Paisley Adams, Katelyn Porter; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his brother: Dennis Alton Davis.
