Mary Sue Mitchell

April 24, 1943 - December 5, 2017

Mary Sue Sullivan Mitchell, age 74, resident of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at her residence.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 4PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Points officiating. A visitation will also be held on Friday from 3-4PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on April 24, 1943 in Maury County, Mary was the daughter of the late Wesley Sullivan and the late Rena Mosley Sullivan. She was retired from General Electric. After retirement, she worked many years at the Dodson’s Restaurant before working at the Sandwich Shop.

She is survived by her husband: Charles Mitchell; grandsons: Justin (Ashley) Rhodes of Columbia, Chris (Jennifer) Bridges of Columbia; great grandchildren: Mason Rhodes, Zane Bridges, Jace Scribner, Bentley Rhodes, Kinley Bridges, Ainsley Bridges; step sons: Dwayne (Sandra) Mitchell and Johnny (Tammy) Mitchell, both of Columbia ; brothers: Robert Sullivan of Columbia, Johnny Sullivan of Columbia; and sisters: Peggy Sullivan of Columbia and Dot Glover of Pulaski.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Frank Moore Matthew, Jr. June Bug;” daughter: Susan Renee Bridges; and sister: Faye Gray.
