Teresa Hargrove King

March 19, 1955 - November 25, 2017

Mrs. Teresa Hargrove King, age 62, wife of Ed King, and a resident of Snow Creek Road in the Santa Fe Community, passed away Saturday evening, November 25, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Ricky Clay officiating. Burial will follow in Sparkman Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 4-7PM and again on Tuesday from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Affectionately known as Mama T and Mimi, Teresa was born on March 19, 1955 in Williamson County. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Hargrove and the late Mildred Gilliam Hargrove. She was a 1973 graduate of Santa Fe School and a devoted member of Theta Church of Christ. Teresa previously worked as a certified nurse technician for Bel Air Nursing Home and Life Care Nursing Home where she enjoyed taking care of others. She also enjoyed baking cakes and scrapbooking, but above all, she loved spoiling her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Ed of 34 years, she leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Christy (Johnny) Cates of Santa Fe, Trent (Beth) Mitchell of Santa Fe; step children: Michael (Stephanie) King, Kaila Horton, Todd King all of Oklahoma; grandchildren: Kelsey Cates, Braddock Mitchell; niece: Angela Morton of Santa Fe; nephews: Michael (LeiLani) Shouse of Columbia, Troy Hargrove of Santa Fe, Harold Wayne (Janice) Hargrove of Lawrenceburg; and several great nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Patricia Shouse; brother: Harold Hargrove; and brother-in-law: Malcolm Shouse.

Pallbearers will be: Harold Wayne Hargrove, Troy Hargrove, Hunter Hargrove, Michael Shouse, Parker Shouse, and Robert Andrews. Honorary pallbearers will include: Edward Jones, Jack Childress, Wayne Stanfill, and Tony Stanfill.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Edward and Dee Jones for their friendship over the many years.
