James Tommy Hedrick, age 70, resident of Columbia, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral services for Tommy will be held on Monday, November13, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Kendall Alderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 till service time on Monday at Heritage Funeral Home.
Born November 30, 1946 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Jack Tomas Hedrick and Edna Roberts Hedrick and the wife of Linda Morton Hedrick. Tommy served his country in the National Guard and was a truck driver for Shapard Lumber in Columbia and Crosslin Supply in Franklin. He was an assistant pastor at Manor Hill Church in Lynnville and his hobby was to hunt and fish.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his sons: Brian Hedrick of Summertown, Kenneth (Melissa) Hedrick and Stanford ( Crystal) Hedrick, both of Woodbury, Anthony (Amy) Hedrick of Columbia; daughters: Sonya (Andy) Aquilar of Mt. Pleasant and Candy Riggs (Jason Bolton) of Lawrenceburg; brothers: Joe (Patsy) Hedrick and Jans (Patsy) Hedrick, both of Columbia, Ronnie (Tina) Hedrick of Lewisburg; sisters: Kim (Dexter) Tenison of Hohenwald and Dana (Michael) Flynn of Culleoka; half brothers: Donnie Carpenter of Nashville and Alan (Celia) Stevens of Lancashire, England; step sister: Grace (Bud) Thomas of Hartsville; 24 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Roy and Jack Hedrick; step brother: James Carpenter.
