Glenda Faye Ward, age 75, resident of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, October 18th at her home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ward will be conducted 2:00 PM on Monday, October 23 at the Heritage Funeral Home with Michael Dean Sullivan and Herb Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 -7:00 PM at the funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements and services.

Born December 30, 1941 in Columbia, Glenda was the daughter of the late Willie Lee and Lorella Black Lovett and wife of the late Teddy Ray Ward. She was a graduate of Columbia Central High School. She worked as a typesetter for twenty years with the Columbia Daily Herald. After retirement, she loved to read and watch TV while drinking her coffee.

Mrs. Ward is survived by her daughters: Kaye (John) Jenkins, Ramona (David) Ward both of Columbia; sisters: Mary Jean Ingrum of Brentwood, Eugenia Posey of Columbia; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one special great-grandchild: Devon Stein.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Melanie Dawn Lovell; granddaughter: Rachael Marie Ward; brothers: Buddy, Jerry, Tony and Larry Lovett; and sister: Annie Hardison.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Jenkins, Bubba Lovett, David Lovett, Rodney Knowles, Jason Medley, Mark Richards, Jacob Eastep, John McMeen and Tim Hill.
