Mr. Terry Ray Oliver, age 49, husband of Kathy Oliver, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11AM at Riverview Baptist Church with Bro. Ezell Rose and Bro. David Buffaloe officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Unity in Maury Memorial Gardens adjacent to Heritage Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8PM at Heritage Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 10-11AM at the church. Following the services, family and friends will be ministered to with food in the Fellowship Hall at Riverview Baptist Church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on November 19, 1967 in Columbia, Terry was the son of Thelma Christine Hodge Oliver and the late RC Oliver. He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church where he served an important role as a deacon and the soundman. He worked a combination of 20 years as a tree trimmer for Asplundh Tree Expert Co. and Farrens Tree Surgeons. Terry was a Security Guard at ASW Wrestling and the former President of the Maury County Gospel Music Association. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the mountains. He loved spending time with his grandchildren; they were his pride and joy. Terry was a very caring and helpful man who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter: Bethany (Dustin) Eells of Columbia; brothers: Clay (Angeline) Oliver of Columbia, Chris (Belinda) Oliver of Columbia; grandchildren: Tristan Martin, Riley Eells; granddaughter on the way: Sissy Eells; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Chance Eells.

Pallbearers will be: Mikey Dunnavant, Herman Love, Brandon Brewer, Wendell Rowe, Randy Rose, Darrell Cox, Mark Dunnavant, and Jimmy Dean. Honorary pallbearers will include: the members of Riverview Baptist Church and the ASW Wrestling fans.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Riverview Baptist Church Building Fund: 798 Santa Fe Pike, Columbia, TN 38401.
