James Stumph

Mr. James Stumph, age 91, a resident of Spring Hill, TN, formerly a resident of Louisville, KY, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017, at Brookdale Columbia Senior Living Center, Columbia, TN.Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 6, 2017 , at 1:00 P.M. at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, Louisville, KY, with internment at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery.  The family will visit with friends from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. , Friday at the funeral home. Born December 16, 1925, in Lebanon, KY, he was the son of the late John Lee Stumph and the late Sarah Isabel Hayden Stumph.  He was a WWII veteran serving in the United States Navy in the European Theater from 1943-1945 aboard USS LST 212.  He was a self-employed barber for 54 years.  He was a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church in Louisville, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma May Ruffra Stumph, a grandson, Jason Paul Messick, and eight brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his children, Sharon Messick (Paul), Dennis Stumph (Mary), Ronnie Stumph (Rosie), and Tim Stumph (Sherry), ten grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
