Mr. David Dewayne Warren, age 59, husband of Ann Warren, and a resident of Summertown, passed away Tuesday evening, September 12, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 1PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Allen Armstrong officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8PM and again on Friday from 12-1PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on January 15, 1958 in Columbia, David was the son of the late Leroy Warren and the late Bernice “Doodle” Matthews Warren. He was a 1977 graduate of Columbia Central High School and married Ann on November 21, 1981. He served his country in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Dix in New Jersey as a driver. He previously worked as a truck driver for PTI Trucking and Amerigas. David was of the Baptist faith, and he loved and served the Lord. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and boat riding, as well as going on cruises and traveling. He was a good, happy, and jolly man who loved life and didn’t have a mean bone in his body. He truly loved having a good time and was always telling jokes and aggravating people. David loved spending time with his grandchildren and dearly loved his wife and children.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Ian Warren of Summertown; daughter: Courtney Warren (Haggard) of Summertown; brother: Danny “Tank” (Tish) Warren of Columbia; sister: Connie (Billy) Seagraves of Columbia; grandchildren: Madison, Gracie, Austyn, KynzLee; father and mother-in-law: Ray & Fay O’Neal of Summertown; nieces and nephews: Timothy (Christi) Warren, Emily Warren, Star (Javid) Warren, Matthew Isbell, Justin Boshears, Ricky Boshears; and several great nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Ricky Warren.

Honorary pallbearers will include: the past employees of PTI Trucking and Amerigas and the residents of Deer Creek, Linden, TN.
