Mr. David Joe Rogers, age 64, husband of Beverly Rogers, and a resident of McKnight Road in Culleoka, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Mike Roberts officiating. Entombment will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, located adjacent to the funeral home. A visitation will also be held on Friday from 12-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 20, 1953 in Chattanooga, David was the son of the late Joe K. Rogers and the late Doris McCollum Rogers. He was a graduate of Dade County High School in Trenton, GA and married Beverly on April 8, 1994. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and retired from General Motors as an electrician. David enjoyed being outdoors, camping, and traveling. He liked Nascar and football and enjoyed his boat and truck. He loved his family and his dogs, Maggie, Sam, Max, and Barker.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Keri (Ryan) Sides of Trenton, GA, Courtney (David) Yates of Trenton, GA, Dustin (Brandi) Rogers of Chattanooga, TN, Ken (Ulrike) Hamby of Wartburg, TN, Angela (Jason) Sims of Spring Hill, TN; brother: Kenneth (Hannah) Rogers of Trenton, GA; and grandchildren: Carson, Dalton, Chloe, Brayden, Brody, Brooklynn, Amythest, and Xander.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Neil Rogers.

Pallbearers will be: Ken Hamby, Kenneth Rogers, Jason Sims, John Marcrom, Carson Rogers, and Ryan Sides.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project: 223 Rosa L. Parks Avenue #301, Nashville, TN 37203.
