Mr. Charlie “Rabbit” Adair, age 69, resident of Lewisburg, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at NHC Healthcare Lewisburg.

Memorial services will be 4:00 PM Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home, Bro. Rick Points officiating, and visitation will be from 2-4 PM prior to the service.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born March 3, 1948 in Maury County, TN, Charlie was the son of late John Henry Adair and the late Hazel Mae Smithson Adair.  He was a dedicated dairyman, a country man, an outside person and as his family says a stubborn man. He loved gardening and canning, country music, spoiling the kids while spending time with them but at the same time raising them to be tough. Charlie “Rabbit” will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his special friend and former wife; Sandra Adair, sons; Charles Adair (Tobie) of Pulaski, Daryn Adair (Lisa) of Newport, TN, brothers; Freddie Adair (Kathy) of Lewisburg, Ralph Adair (Betty) of Mooresville, John Gordon “Bud” Adair (Ann) of Lewisburg, sisters; Mary Thompson of Farmington, Connie Calahan (Ernie) of Cornersville, Ann Edde of Old Hickory, Joanna Sears of FL, six grandsons and three great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
