The husband of her youth Jewarren Bunting and her husband of 38 happy and productive years Joseph Sweigard went before her to their Heavenly Home.
She was born May 26, 1930, in Albemarle, NC to Gidney Frank Cole and Geneva Naomi Moore Cole King. Best known for her Evangelistic style piano playing, she began playing for Church at age 11 “They had to sing what I could play!” She served and worshiped God with her music. She was a devoted daughter to her parents, adoring sister to her siblings, and a Prayer Warrior for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She served as Song Evangelist with Jewarren for many years, traveling the East Coast from church to church. While a wife and mother, she became an LPN, and served as music director at Burlington Wesleyan Church. After five years of widowhood, Joe Sweigard swept her off her feet. She married and moved to York, Pennsylvania. They served together at several churches, and she played often at York Rescue Mission. She established the business “Margaret’s True Care” serving women who required mastectomies. Health issues necessitated a move in 2009 to Wesley Village in Wilmore KY followed a year by a move to Franklin, TN.
Although limited to her vision and mobility, she enjoyed water exercise and choir at the YMCA, and played piano nearly every Sunday at Franklin Community of Faith.
She is survived by children; Rick (Nena) Sweigard, Becky Bunting Davis, Phil (Marsha) Bunting, Paul Bunting; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Other than her parents and spouses, she was preceded in death by sister; Alice Cole Woods and brothers; Charles and George Cole.
