Mrs. Janet Seiber, age 56, wife of Jerry Seiber, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Rolman officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens, located adjacent to the funeral home. A visitation will be held on Monday from 5-8PM and again on Tuesday from 12-1PMat the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on October 2, 1960 in Davidson County, Janet was the daughter of Jack Spitznas and Hazel Butler Spitznas. She was a graduate of Lewis County High School and a member of Pleasant Mount Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She married her High School sweetheart, Jerry Seiber, on June 30, 1978 and together they had two children. She was a well known beautician who owned Janet's Styling. She loved having a good time on the Tennessee River and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Janet was a yard sale queen who enjoyed traveling and being with her friends. She was a kind hearted woman who loved helping others and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her in-laws: Johnny and Wanda Creasy of Hohenwald; her sons: Joshua (Haley) Seiber of Mt. Pleasant and Justin (Amanda) Seiber of Columbia; sister: Darlene Underwood of Mt. Juliet; step sister: Helen Tomasulo of McEwen; step brother: Jack Spitznas of Nashville; and five grandchildren: Carley Pugh, Hayden Pugh, Jaelynn Seiber, Hayden Bowling, and Tessa Seiber.
Pallbearers will be: Alan Seiber, Trent Conner, Levi Conner, Jimmy Miller, Daniel Goad, and Trevor Brewer.
Honorary pallbearers will include: the members of Pleasant Mount Cumberland Presbyterian Church and her Riverview family.
