Mr. Kenneth Zeller, age 64, husband of Sally Lynn Zeller and a resident of Chapel Hill, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 20th at 4PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Chaplin Dennis Smith officiating. A visitation will also be held on Sunday from 3-4PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on March 17, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan, Kenneth was the son of the late Harry Zeller and the late Nomajean Doane Zeller. He was currently working at General Motors as an Opt Tech and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Michigan. Kenneth and his wife worked together recreating stained glass windows and enjoyed giving them away as gifts. He was a great handy man and was also a computer whiz. He was a lover of the outdoors, and in his younger years, he enjoyed taking his family canoeing. Kenneth also loved music, especially blues and rock and roll.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters: Lisa (Jasen) Raby of Michigan, Stacey Ellis of Chapel Hill, Elaine (Matthew) Crowley of Chapel Hill; brother: Paul Doane of Michigan; and grandchildren: Alexander Harvey, Carson Raby, Jackson Raby, Madison Crowley, Abigail Crowley, Avaery Ellis, and Christopher Ellis.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Craig Zeller; and sons-in-law: Christopher Ellis and Alexander’s father: Jeremy Harvey.
