Ronnie Lancaster

July 12, 1947 - August 9, 2017

Mr. Ronnie Lancaster, age 70, husband of Janice Lancaster, and a resident of Primm Springs, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor J.J. King officiating. Burial will follow in Johnsons Chapel Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on July 12, 1947 in Williamson County, Ronnie was the son of the late Raymond Lancaster and the late Odell Capley Lancaster. He was a graduate of Spring Hill High School and a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church. He worked 30 years for the Tennessee Division of Forestry. Ronnie loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Janice of 48 years, he is survived by his son: Christopher Ray Lancaster of Hickman County; brother: Billy Ray “Rat” Lancaster of Franklin; sister: Debbie (Jim) Proffitt of Columbia; sister-in-law: Barbara (Larry) Jenkins of Williamson County; nephews: Stephen (Jess) Peach, Barry Jenkins; nieces: Sheena (Chris) Love, Jennifer (Evan) Fuson; several great nieces and nephews; and special friend and neighbor: Walt Garner.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law: Al & Molly Byrd.

Pallbearers will be: Rodney Hunt, Stephen Peach, Barry Jenkins, Larry Jenkins, Walt Garner, and Evan Fuson. Honorary pallbearers will include: the employees of the Tennessee Division of Forestry and the members of New Beginnings Baptist Church.
