Mr. Eldon Lee Wainman, age 78, a resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 2PM at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 3:30PM at Houser Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 9, 1938 in Griggsville, IL, Lee was the son of the late George Anthony Wainman and the late Minnie Whited Wainman. He was retired after twenty years of serving in the United States Army and was retired from Dyna-Pak in Lawrenceburg after working there in shipping for twenty years. He enjoyed pitching horseshoes, playing cards, and going on road trips. Lee was of the Church of Christ faith.

He is survived by his wife: Ruby Wainman of Lawrenceburg; daughter: Kathy (Mike) Bishop of Springfield; step-children: Robert Steven (Tracy) Farrington of Leoma, Sandra (Ricky) Brazier of Lawrenceburg; daughter-in-law: Shirley Waddle of Leoma; sister: Erma Miller of Griggsville, IL; grandchildren: Johnny Lee Scott, Phillip Bishop, Matthew Bishop, Haley Farrington, Ben Farrington, Brian Gobble, Nick Gobble, Holly (Dennis) Cody, Ethan Waddle; special brother-in-law: Bobby Clifton; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Anthony Wainman; step son: Ricky A. Waddle; brother: Floyd Galen Wainman; and sisters: Dorothy Williams and Beulah Turnage.
