Dennis Fitzgerald

October 10, 1952 - July 28, 2017

Mr. Dennis Ray Fitzgerald, age 64, a resident of Columbia, passed away Friday, July 28,2017 at his home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home with Tim Paul officiating. A visitation for Mr. Fitzgerald will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 PM Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born October 10, 1952 in Columbia, he was the son of the late Walker Tillman Fitzgerald and the late Katie Mae Roberts Fitzgerald and the husband of Deborah Elaine Davis Fitzgerald. Dennis was a graduate of Central High School and a former driver for Border States Electrical Supply Company. He loved his family first and also loved building all types of fires and playing with fire. He had a love for guns, hunting, fishing, canoeing and being a jokester. One other love in his life was his dog Sammie. Dennis will surely be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son: Justin Walker Fitzgerald of Columbia; sister: Juanita Paul of Columbia, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Other than his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by a brother; Edward Walker Fitzgerald.

The family request that donations be made to: The Music Department of Culleoka Unit School, 1921 Warrior Way, Culleoka, TN 38451.

Honorary pallbearers will include the employees of Boarder States Electrical Supply Company and close friends.
