Mr. Harold W. Clark, age 83, husband of Lorene Wiser Clark and resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 27th at 10AM at Maury Hills Church of Christ with Russ Adcox and Gary Vanwormer officiating.  Burial will follow in the Garden of Eternity in Maury Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the United States Army.  The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, July 26th from 4-8PM at Heritage Funeral Home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on April 1, 1934 in Bell Buckle, TN, Harold was the son of the late Garner Clark and the late Clara Ramsey Clark. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His career in the military endured a total of fourteen years. He was a member of Maury Hills Church of Christ where he served as an elder for several years. He served as a minister in Swainsboro, GA, Nesbit, MS, Brandon, MS and Belzoni, MS.  His passion was spending time reading God’s word, especially scriptures on love. He was retired from the United States Postal Service as a route carrier. He owned a restaurant in Pearl, Mississippi where they served Mexican food. Earlier in life, he enjoyed woodworking.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Lorene Clark of Mt. Pleasant; son: Mike (Cindy) Clark of Columbia; daughters: Becky (Blair) Styan of South Carolina, Beverly Christmas of Virginia; grandchildren: Jennifer (Floyd) McLendon, Casey Clark, Jonathan (Lindsey) Christmas, Savannah (James) Alexander, Clay (Ally) Christmas, Josh (Rebecca) Styan; and one great grandchild: Austin McLendon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: John Clark, Joel Clark, and Neil Clark.

Pallbearers will be: James Alexander, Josh Styan, Jonathan Christmas, Floyd McLendon, Clay Christmas, and Brian Styan. Honorary pallbearers will include: Sherri Mitchener and the Shepherds of Maury Hills Church of Christ.
