Jerome Douglas Clay, age 70, resident of Columbia, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 at his residence.

Services for Jerome will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born June 13, 1947 in Grand Rapids, MI, son of the late Douglas Roger and Lois Herrington Clay. He was an owner and in sales of automotive supplies. He loved watching birds, doing landscaping and going to the beach. His hobbies included traveling and old cars, especially Corvettes. Jerome served his county in the US Navy.

He is survived by his children: Adam (Magdalena Prvinic) Clay of Los Angeles, CA and Anje (Deven Johnson) Clay of Spring Hill; sisters: Sirius (Tom) Lipscomb of Battle Creek, MI and Nancy Saltzman of Thompson Station; his loving grandchildren: Rylie, Jaiden, Charli Kate, Bronson, Brody and Zenden.
