Marie Vinson

July 16, 1951 - June 17, 2017

Mrs. Marie L. Buxton Vinson, age 65, resident of Hampshire, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at St. Thomas Midtown Medical.

A memorial service for Mrs. Vinson will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 22nd in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with James Barnes officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born August 16, 1951 in Farmington Hills, MI, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Dorothy Buxton and wife of James Thomas Vinson. She was a registered nurse with Maury County Health Department and a member of Cedar Hills Church of Christ. Her hobbies included reading, watching movies, traveling and horseback riding with her husband.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Wayne Hill of Spring Hill, Michael (Mimi) Vinson of Michigan, and Jessie Vinson of Washington; daughters: Laura (John) Neal of Washington, Melissa (Brad) Mitchell, Rachel (Scott) Putnik, both of Michigan, and Mary (James) Yager of Louisiana; brothers: Mac Buxton of Michigan and Eugene Buxton of Texas; and 20 grandchildren.
