Betty Ruth Vann

September 16, 1929 - June 12, 2017

Betty Ruth Vann, age 87, a resident of Carol Drive in Columbia, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 at her residence.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10AM at Maury Memorial Gardens with Rev. Hubert Cunningham officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 5-7PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on September 16, 1929 in Frankford, KY Betty was the daughter of the late Mac O. Little and the late Nellie Ruth Foster Little. She was a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church in Jolton, TN and worked many years as a bridal consultant at Chester & Barton Department Store in Nashville. After retirement, she spent the rest of her life caring for others.

She is survived by her son, Ronald (Renee) Vann of Columbia; sister, Beverly (Billy) Fitzgerald of Columbia; grandchildren: April (Jim) Grippo of Columbia, David (Audra) Vann of California, Elizabeth Frazier Vann of California; great grandchildren: Lia, Sara, Ava, Jack, and Maria; and niece, Krista Vitense of Oklahoma.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Little Dismukes.
