Deputy Jerry W. Harden, Sr., age 66, resident of Belfast, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Marshall Medical Center.

Jerry was born February 12, 1951 in Maury County and was the son of the late Hubert Harden and late Rachel Andrews Harden.  He graduated from Culleoka High School.  He married his soul mate of 38 years, Vicki Collins Harden.  He enjoyed classic cars, playing video games, and his jeep.  He and Vicki were members of the Mule Town Jeepers.  Jerry served as a city policeman in 1972 and then worked at Space Master.  He later was employed by Heil Quaker but shortly after knew he should return to the police department.  He became a reserve officer for Cornersville Police Department and soon began working as an officer.  He last worked as a Deputy for the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.  Jerry had said it was his calling to serve as a Deputy.  He will be remembered as having a servant’s heart.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons: Christopher Runions, Daniel Runions, and Jerry (Loni) Harden, Jr.; daughter: Jennifer Harden Ortiz; brothers: Hubert “Buddy” Harden, Jr. and Randy Harden; sister: Aletta Harden Bratton; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister: Jacqueline Horton and his brother: Kenneth Harden.
